Lajos Garzó

     Lajos, son of János Garzó and Susánna Méhes, was born in Vezsény, Jász-Nagy-Kun-Szolnok, Hungary, on 6 September 1816.1 Lajos Garzó was baptized on 6 September 1816 in Tiszavezseny, Jász-Nagy-Kun-Szolnok, Hungary.2 He was the son of János Garzó and Susánna Méhes. On Sunday, 3 May 1840 in St Joseph VIII Church in Budapest, Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kis-Kun, Hungary, Lajos Garzó married Teréz Langer, age 22, daughter of Venczel Langer and Teréz Rozalie Posch. Married by Fr. Frank Spada. Witnesses; Jozsef Biegl and Mihaly Laczko.3 Lajos Garzó and Teréz Langer had 6 children.
He worked as a engineer to regulate the rivers in Hungary. This post was one of twelve in the country. He was a Calvinist not a Catholic but wanted the Catholic church bells to ring when he died.4 Lajos died on 3 June 1893 in Budapest, Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kis-Kun, Hungary at age 76.5,6
